1. Andrews Sod Farm - Walnut Hill, FL
Want to see country living at its best! Visit Richard Beck at Andrews Sod Farm in Walnut Hill to experience his very own you-pick strawberry farm as well as many vegetables.  Numerous acres are undergoing in peas, corn, peppers, squash, watermelons, cantaloupes and many more. 2. Barnhill Farms - Robertsdale, AL
If you are ever near the Loxley exit off the I-10 interstate, the folks at Barnhill Farms are just around the corner.  The farm’s owner, Gordon Barnhill, and his two sons, Phillip and Michael, personally oversee the farm’s daily operations to ensure everything and everyone is running smoothly.  With over 500 acres, this farm grows a variety of produce including sweet corn, collard greens, watermelons, peas, okra, squash and more.  Some in the area know the farm more familiarly by its other name, Baldwin Sod Farm, because of the many acres that are devoted to cultivating sod.  This sod is sold mostly to local and regional landscapers and homebuilders.  With over 60 years of experience, Barnhill Farms is a great place to visit for a good laugh, some fine company, and some tasty produce. 3. Bartlett Meadows Farms - Pace, FL
Bartlett Meadows Farms has been growing beautiful fresh cut flowers and unique produce in the Pace area for 5 years. Cut flowers include sunflowers, snapdragons, zinnias, lilies, plus, gerbera daisies, dahlias, and roses in the hoop house. Owner Mary Bartlett cuts these flowers for custom arrangements at area grocers, Ever’Man and Apple Market as well as special orders for events. For fresh vegetables, she grows distinct varieties such as heirloom tomatoes, Yellow Doll Watermelons, French Cantaloupes, Roma Green Beans, bunching onions, and yellow granex onions. 4. Curtis Penton Farms - Milton, FL
The Penton family has been farming in this spot off Highway 87 for 50 years. The farm is 10-13 miles north of Whiting Field on the right hand side of the road. Several varieties of tomatoes are grown in a hoop house and field, plus many other produce items throughout the season including Seeded Watermelons, Bell Peppers, Sweet Banana Peppers, Eggplant, Okra, Peas, Blackberries, Collards, Turnips, Rutabegas, and more. 5. Cypress Cattle - Ponce de Leon, FL
Cypress Cattle Company is located on some beautiful 1,100 acres south of Ponce de Leon, FL bound by towering cypress trees and ponds.  Founded by W.J. Sapp, the farm has spanned four generations strong. Its owner, Luke Langford is a fourth generation farmer and he runs the beef cattle and produce operation along with his dad.  Luke is passionate about farming and wishes to bring folks back to the farm.  As part of the Cypress Cattle, they promote agri-tourism as folks also visit for the fishing lakes and the on-farm sawmill, u-pick produce, and the start of a local community supported agriculture (CSA).  Further, he is a member of the Farm Bureau Young Farmer & Rancher Group, a group aimed at bringing the young voice to farming.  Learn more at www.cypresscattle.com.

6. Davis Farms - Jay, FL
Jerry Davis, owner of Davis Farms is a busy farmer. He not only manages thousands of acres of farmland, but he is also the president of the Santa Rosa County Farm Bureau, and on the State Florida Farm Bureau Board and with that heavy job comes a great deal of responsibility. As a representative for the Farm Bureau, Davis is responsible for handling legislative problems and setting policy in the area, but Davis is honored to serve his community in that way. When he’s not jet setting around the United States on behalf of the Farm Bureau, you’ll find him at home on his farm. For after all, farming is what Davis knows, and it’s all he’s known for as long as he can remember. With over 80 acres devoted just to produce, a variety of crops such as sweet corn, watermelon, butter beans, and peas are grown. But, Davis will tell you that his favorite crop is the watermelons. “There’s nothing like a juicy slice of watermelon on a hot summer day,” says Davis.

7. Double D Farms - Milton, FL
James and Dianne Dennis are the back bone for Double D Farms located off Highway 89 in Milton. Dianne grew up on a family produce farm and after her husband James retired, they began a new venture of running a specialty produce farm. They offer u-pick blackberries and peaches. 8. F.B. Ellison Farms - Robertsdale, AL
It's a family tradition when you walk onto F.B. Ellison Farms, shaded by
some lovely big oak trees.  The whole family gets involved in the
business of growing some big and beautiful watermelons -- everything
from bringing the melons from the fields to packing, and grading, to
ordering and delivery.   They take pride in their product and it shows.

9. Holland Farms - Jay, FL
You can’t get more of a farm experience without a trip to Holland Farms.  The Holland family has been in this location for more than 100 years.  They call it “The Nuttiest Place Around” and for good reason… Peanuts are their passion.  You won’t leave without a sample of their fresh, boiled peanuts during the fall harvest season.  Plus, enjoy fresh local produce and enjoy the fresh air in a rocking chair.  Learn more at  www.hollandfarmsonline.com

10. Jeta Farms - Elberta, AL
Jeta Farms has a unique story behind the name... The letters J-E-T-A are formed from their four children's names. Jeta Farms is based in Elberta, Al. and the Frank family has been farming in this area for more than forty years. 11. Shockley Springs Farm & Nursery - Baker, FL
In two months, blueberry season comes fierce and strong in Baker, FL.  Mark Davis, owner of Shockley Springs Farm has produced on this site for more than 30 years, planting the first berries in 1979.  The combination of soils and climate are known to produce the sweetest fruit and have kept customers returning year after year.  A u-pick operation is available at this time or look in local grocers produce section for their fruit, picked fresh and delivered within hours of harvest.   The nursery offers native trees, landscaping plants, and consulting and design services too.  Learn more at www.shockleysprings.com.

12. Steve’s Farm Walnut Hill, FL
Steve Hiebert is a third generation farmer in North Florida. Steve’s Farm specialty is home grown sweet corn, not to mention field peas, butterbeans, watermelons, cantaloupe and more. 13. Wendt Farms and Nursery - Jay, FL
Earl and William Wendt, father and son team, work on Wendt Farm and Nursery, which offers specialty nursery plants and fresh local produce. For over fifty year, the Wendt Family has been producing fresh vegetables. William brings farming experience coupled with his daytime job as Specialty Crops Program Manager at the University of Florida, West Florida Research and Education Center. Their farm offers field transplants for growers, spring and fall annuals, specialty hanging baskets, ferns and beautiful flowering potted plants such as poinsettias and Easter lilies, plus fresh, local favorites of tomatoes, sweet corn, squash, and melons.
